FAQ

I am not a Christian. Can I come to one of your meetings?
Yes you will be made welcome at any one of our gatherings. If you are wanting to find out more about Jesus, being a Christian or what church is all about, come along. All we ask is that you come and observe what we are all about, are respectful towards what is going on in the gathering and towards the other people who are attending. You are welcome to ask any questions, but if you have lots of questions, we may ask that you speak to us after the meeting where we will be happy to sit down with you and answer them.

My life is a mess. Am I still welcome to come to one of your meetings?
Of course you are! Jesus made a way for us to have a relationship with God whatever the messes that have happened in our life. He loves you and you will be made very welcome in any of our gatherings.

Do you have a statement of faith?
Yes. You can read it HERE

River Church Seaford has a particular ethos regarding what the “wineskin” of Church looks like. Does this mean that you disagree with other ways of doing Church?
Absolutely not! We are a committed part of the wider body of Christ and we celebrate the diverse ways God has shaped our churches. Our ethos is what it is because the wineskin should suit the wine Jesus is pouring out at the time, or to put it another way – to suit the way He is moving in our midst. Even within our different relational Church gatherings there are differences, because the church is made up of people led of the Holy Spirit and each person is unique in personality and gifting.

I am part of a relational gathering / simple church / house church / missional community. Can our gathering join your network of Churches?
Potentially, yes you can. If you agree to our statement of faith, the values of River Church and our ethos, we are happy to meet with you and discuss your group becoming part of the River Church Seaford network of Church gatherings.

Will one of River Church Seaford’s ministry team come and speak at my church although we are not part of your network?
We will prayerfully consider any request to come and speak. In the first instance please contact us.
